I the undersigned, do hereby agree to release the Branford Animal Shelter from all liability. I will not hold the Town of Branford liable for any damage, illness or injury sustained during volunteer work. I , the undersigned will never institute any action or suit at law or in equity against the Branford Animal Shelter, nor institute, prosecute or in any way aid, assist, or participate directly or indirectly in the institution or prosecution of any claim, demand, action or cause of action for damage, costs, loss of services, expenses, or compensation for or on account of any damage, loss or injury either to person or property, or both, whether developed or underdeveloped, resulting or to result, known or unknown, past, or present, or future, arising out of the condition or operation of the Branford Animal Shelter and its facilities (including but not limited to any damage, loss or injury either to person or property, or both, resulting from contact with or the actions or conduct of any animal located at or in the custody or control of or in releases, demises and discharges the Branford animal Shelter.

This agreement is intended to indicate the seriousness with which we treat our volunteers. The intent of this agreement is to assure you both our deep appreciation for your services and to indicate our commitment to do the very best we can to make your volunteer experience here a productive and rewarding one.

The Branford Animal Shelter agrees to accept the services of: __________________beginning ____________ and grants each volunteer the following rights:
To be receptive to any comments from the volunteer regarding ways in which we might mutually better accomplish our respective tasks.
To offer the volunteer careful placement w/ consideration for personal preference, temperament , life experience, education, and employment background.
To provide adequate information, training, and assistance for the volunteer to be able to meet the responsibilities of their position.
To ensure diligent supervisory aid to the volunteer and to provide feedback on performance.
To respect the volunteer and to strive to maintain a smooth working relationship.

Volunteer:
1. To perform my volunteer duties in good spirit and to the best of my ability, and to seek guidance when in doubt.
2. To be prompt and reliable in attendance, to contact the shelter if unable to work as scheduled.
3. To respect the staff and strive to maintain a smooth working relationship with the staff and other volunteers.
